Join us for Summer in Iceland!

Iceland and the summer solstice, the adventure photography workshop, visits godafossWe recently had to readjust our schedule for this workshop. We are still committed to going; however, we’ll announce new dates soon. In the meantime, please sign up for the newsletter and we’ll let you know about upcoming trips, including new dates for this trip to Iceland!

Join us as we explore one of the planet’s iconic landscape destinations. Iceland is full of vast landscapes, stunning waterfalls and moody weather just waiting for you to photograph! During this workshop, we’ll experience the midnight sun, photograph diverse landscapes, and chase golden light across along the west coast during the longest days of the year.

Our landscape photography and editing workshop travels along Iceland’s south and west coasts, between Reykjavik and Akureyri. Along the way, you might just recognize scenes from Walter Mitty or Game of Thrones.

All three instructors – Conor MacNeill, Ivan Olafsson and Jeff Bartlett – have led photography workshops in Iceland., so we’ve teamed up to share our passion for Iceland with you. Both Conor and I have visited Iceland on multiple occasions, but Ivan is the true location expert. He grew up in Reykjavik and has spent countless hours exploring the island with his camera. Last year, Ivan and I scouted this workshop route. We took our time and truly honed in on what we love about the country. The itinerary is fine tuned, so we’ll spend less time on the road and more time behind our cameras.

It’s a Workshop for Everyone!

With only 10 participants and three instructors, the experience is like few other workshops. You’ll learn how to photograph the amazing landscapes we visit and how to edit images to maximize their visual impact. We guarantee plenty of 1-on-1 instruction, too, so we will tailor learning objectives and instruction to each photographer’s unique need.

This workshop is ideal for photographers of any skill level. Experts will enjoy the opportunity to build their portfolios with images from Iceland’s most iconic locations. Beginners can take advantage of dedicated instruction that will dramatically speed up their photography abilities.

We don’t have a set curriculum, but our experience allows us to quickly adapt to our clients needs. If there are specific photography skills you want to learn or improve, we are there to help.

Iceland and the summer solstice in the field

We keep payment easy. When you are prepared to register, please follow the links below and we’ll forward you a PayPal invoice. If you can’t pay with PayPal, please get in touch with us to make alternative arrangements.

What skill levels do you teach?

All of our workshops include beginners and advanced photographers. It is easy to accomodate all skill levels. Since we have three instructors and only ten participants, you can expect plenty of one-on-one instruction.

How do I get there?

Flights to Iceland are not included. Iceland is well connected, but please make sure your flights arrive to and from Iceland’s Keflavik Airport (KEF). If you plan to arrive early or depart after our tour finishes, we’ll try our best to provide appropriate transfers.

What type of accommodation should I expect?

Our workshops put photography first, so we select hotels that give us the most flexibility for arrival/departure times and easy access to key landmarks. We know the hotels, too, so rest assured that they’re clean, comfortable and within walking distance of services.

Our workshops are based on double occupancy, which means we’ll pair you with a workshop participant if you are traveling alone. If you require your own room, a single supplement is available at additional cost.

What if the weather is bad?

We’re going to Iceland; the weather will be bad. Luckily, stormy weather makes some of the best images.  We will always have a backup plan should the weather be a major concern, but please come prepared for some wet and windy conditions!
